    Ingredients

    • 1 egg
    • 2 cans of shredded tuna
    • a portion of parsley
    • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
    • 1 pinch of salt
    • Half cup of chopped onion
    • Oil

    Preparation

    • Step 1: Firstly, to make these croquettes we must drain the water from the canned tuna very well. The drier the tuna is, the more compact the homemade croquettes will be. For greater effectiveness we recommend using a strainer.
    • Step 2: Once the tuna has been drained, place it in a large container and reserve. Next, chop the onion, and prepare a frying pan with oil which we bring to the fire, when it is hot, fry the onion until it becomes transparent. Then we remove it to mix it with the tuna and parsley.
    • Step 3: We add the egg to join it to the previous mixture so that all the ingredients of these tuna croquettes can be joined. Finally we add a little salt to taste.
    • Step 4: Once the mixture is finished, we grab some portions to make little balls and then we proceed to crush them to give them the elongated shapes of the tuna croquettes. Then we coat them with the already grated bread and in this way they will be ready to fry
    • Step 5: To fry the croquettes we find a frying pan and pour enough oil so that it can completely cover the fried tuna, this so that it is not necessary to turn them and they can be fried evenly. Once the oil is very hot, place the croquettes and remove them when they look golden brown.
    • Step 6: We use absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

    Recommendation

Parsley is not an essential ingredient in this recipe, but it does give these tuna croquettes a flavorful presence.
