Ingredients
- 4 cups of whole liquid milk (1 liter)
Preparation
- Step 1: In a pot we are going to place the liter of liquid whole milk. Then, we take it to cook at a high temperature and as soon as it breaks the boil, we lower the flame.
- Step 2: We stir constantly, so that a layer of fat or cream does not form on the surface of the liquid. In case it forms, we remove it with a slotted spoon and continue stirring.
- Step 3: Once we get the thick point and the color of a yellowish tone, we remove from the heat and proceed to pass the mixture through a sieve, separating the excess cream from the reduced milk. It should be totally lump-free. We will recognize the consistency immediately, since the mixture must have been reduced to a little more than half.
- Step 4: Let stand because the cold mixture takes a little more consistency.
- Step 5: When cool, pack and refrigerate. If you want to mix with other ingredients, we recommend heating it over low heat to obtain a more manageable consistency.
